This simple course starts from Toyohashi Zoo & Botanical Park and goes through the Iwaya Ryokuchi Park. Hikers head towards the observatory while experiencing the nature of the urban area. Iwaya Ryokuchi Park was constructed as a place for citizens to enjoy nature and the view from the observatory deck encompasses the entire city. We recommend an additional course walking through the Toyohashi Zoo & Botanical Park.
Climb Mt. Chausu, the tallest peak in Aichi Prefecture and Mt. Hagitaro the second tallest peak in Aichi Prefecture for amazing views from the mountain tops. The course starts around Yahazu Pond and heads towards the 2 mountains. There are signs displayed so beginners and families can enjoy the course with peace of mind. Have a leisurely great time in the nature of the highlands. <Mt. Chausu Highland Art Museum> This art museum was opened in the Mt. Chausu Highlands in 2002. This course features the nature and historical architecture of Mt. Horaiji. The Horaiji bus stop of Toyotetsu Bus is the starting point of this course which tours many famous places. There are a number of highlights such as Mt. Horaiji which was designated as a national nature treasure and a beauty spot as well as important cultural properties such as Niomon and Toshogu. Visitors can enjoy this course all year round with the autumn colors especially recommended.
This course allows visitors to enjoy the beautiful view from Mt. Miyaji along with temples and shrines. It starts at Meiden Akasaka Station and heads towards the 362m high Mt. Miyaji with a beautiful nature path on the way back. There are historic temples and shrines located here and there on the course. The white koabura azalea is popular in spring while the changing colors of the leaves are a beautiful sight in autumn.
This mountain path allows visitors to experience historical relics and nature. There is one mountain castle which has been left intact since the late 12th century and there are a number of highlights such as the Shitara Castle Ruins and pot holes (Kamabuchi) created by river erosion. There are signs on the course making it comparatively easy to handle.
Visitors can enjoy beautiful nature all year round and the view from Tengudana (1,240m). Head out towards Tengudana from the Mennoki Visitor Center and enjoy a stroll on the mountain path full of nature. There is a mountain path available so beginners can enjoy the course as well. Hikers can have a great time viewing seasonal plants such as mitsuba azalea, hydrangea and autumn colors.

Afterwards, set out for Shinshiro to see 4 waterfalls. Each waterfall has its own distinctive qualities. Provide healing for your mind and body while enjoying the scenery.

After enjoying the nature of the highlands, take a break at the michinoeki rest area. Here you can enjoy local flavors and specialty products. Next, spend some time relaxing in a natural hot spring. Finish off this course with visits to famous spots in Toyone such as the Residence of the Family of Kumagai and Shintoyone Dam.
This course is great for those who want to enjoy the beautiful nature of Oku Mikawa. The course starts out on Mt. Myojin with an elevation of 1,016m. Enjoy seasonal flowers on your hike as well as the view from the top of the mountain. Afterwards, have fun viewing Furikusa Ravine and Tsutanofuchi Falls. The course ends at Toei Hot Springs where you can relieve the fatigue of your trip.
This area was the location of the Battle of Nagashino in 1575. First visit the museum in Shitaragahara which was the area of the decisive battle, and then tour the Shingenzuka Burial Grounds and Babosaku Fence. Afterwards, take a stroll around the Nagashino Castle Ruins. There are many famous things to see such as the graves of warriors and the stronghold remains. Have a great time in the world of the Sengoku Period (1467-1568).

Cross the Takanosubashi Bridge to reach Aichi Prefecture. Then have a relaxing time warming up your body at the Yunoshima Hot Springs near Lake Sakuma. Afterwards, relax at the Raifukan Inn and enjoy the view of Lake Sakuma and the dam.
This courses lets visitors experience the land of Watanabe Kazan, a warrior of the Tahara Clan whose achievements came in the later part of the Edo Period (1603-1867). Kazan worked as chief retainer of the Tahara Clan while also making accomplishments as a scholar of Dutch learning and artist. These relics are located all over Tahara. Experience history while taking a leisure stroll through the city.
