  • Imo Wetlands

The Imo Wetlands are in the eastern part of Toyohashi and are also called the Mini Oze of Tokai. This field of about 5 hectares is unusually close to an urban area. There are around 250 varieties of hygrophytes such as the mikawa baikeiso Veratrum stamineum which is an alpine plant and flower gardens form all throughout the year. This was designated as a prefectural natural monument on February 28th, 1992 in Aichi.
