Hesperis Matronalis naturally grows in the bank of the Umeda River which flows through the eastern part of Toyohashi. At the beginning of spring, a white carpet of these flowers covering surface of the 2 km long bank that is sandwiched between the Mototenpaku bus station area assuages the minds of people who visit there.
