Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park, Nonhoi Park
See | Tourist Spots | Museums/FacilitiesToyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park, Nonhoi Park, is a zoo where visitors can enjoy the lively appearances of animals, such as in the open type display of the African Park like Savanna, where time flows leisurely and by watching polar bears jumping in front of their eyes.
In the botanical gardens, a Monet Corner has been built. This
corner is a place that displays lilies, weeping willows, and wisterias
inherited from Monet, which were painted by the famous French artist,
Claude Monet, in his “Water Lilies” paintings. The Monet Corner is a
prestigious place to which Monet water lilies were first introduced to
Japan in 1996 to commemorate the opening of the botanical gardens. It is
a must-see for photographers and painters.
In addition, there is the natural history museum, which has a
display of the skeleton of an anteosaurus, also has a spectacular
digital large video screen. (A fee is required for admission.)
This park also has an amusement park that has a Ferris wheel and other attractions. Therefore, because Nonhoi Park has four zones - a zoo, botanical gardens, natural history museum, and amusement park - combined together, it is a type of facility that is unusual in Japan.
Adults and children can enjoy this park. Please make a visit here.
