Yoshida-shuku and Tokaido
See | Tourist Spots | History

Yoshida-shuku is the 34th post station from Edo Nihonbashi on the 53 stages of the Tokaido.
In addition to being a castle town of Yoshida Castle, it was a busy post town. It was said that “When you pass through Yoshida, what beckons you from the second floor is a dappled long-sleeved kimono.”
Because of war, the appearance of the station has mostly been lost. The Somon gates that were reproduced on the east and west side of the former post town have been restored. Another post town in Toyohashi is Futagawa-shuku to the east.
