San no Maru Hall

In Showa 61 (1986), this building was opened at the ruins of San no Maru(outermost region of the castle)) of the former Yoshida Castle, in Toyohashi Park. It is a multi-purpose cultural facility that conveys traditional culture of the region, performance activities (tea ceremony, dance, reading of Chinese poetry, tanka poetry, haiku poetry, etc.), and municipal culture (igo, shogi, etc.). In summary, the total total size of the lot is 2100㎡, the total area of the building is 401㎡, the area of the garden is 1170㎡, the main building (single-story building built with steel framed reinforced concrete) 262 ㎡, and the tea room building (single-story building made of wood) is 84㎡. Tea rooms are 4.5 and 8.5 tatami mats in size. The Japanese-style rooms are 17.5 tatami mats in size (three rooms available). There is also a tea room with tables and chairs (accommodates 17 people).
